About Elevate and Belong Recovery Center
At Elevate and Belong Recovery Center, we believe healing starts with belonging—being seen, valued, and supported without judgment. Founded by April Martin, a behavioral health professional with over a decade of experience in prevention, addiction recovery, and trauma-informed care, this retreat center was created to offer a safe space where people can heal in nature and reconnect with themselves and others.
April’s work is deeply personal. As a sister to someone who struggled to access affirming addiction treatment because of his sexual orientation, she witnessed firsthand how vital it is for recovery spaces to be inclusive, compassionate, and rooted in dignity. That experience fuels her commitment to building a place where everyone—regardless of identity—can truly belong.
A first-generation college graduate and longtime community leader, April brings both lived experience and clinical expertise to her work. Through a blend of evidence-based therapy, group support, and nature-anchored healing practices, Elevate and Belong offers a holistic recovery experience designed for real people, real lives, and lasting change.
